Printing And Shipping Faster Than Expected!
The Books Look Beautiful
The printing of both books is impressive, with sturdy binding and vivid colors. Friesens has done a great job again! I couldn't be happier about the quality.
Shipping Has Already Commenced
The freight seems to be moving faster than predicted, so expect books to arrive in April and May! Some lucky folk may even get them in the next week or two. I've already heard word that the distribution centers in the USA, Canada, and the UK have started packing and shipping! There is no word on Europe and Australia yet, but I expect those books to ship soon as well.
Thanks again for supporting this project! Having well-produced physical books in hand is a rewarding part of the process, and I am proud to be sending these out.
Book Printing Scheduled For April, Shipping Likely May-June!

April Printing, May/June Shipping
The printer has a pretty fast turnaround time for this one, and they estimate it can be finished in April. This is faster than I expected, and I can likely start freighting books to their fulfillment centers as early as May, with book orders arriving to backers in May and June. It's always exciting to see the digital become analogue, I can't wait to see the physical book!
Final addresses will be locked in over the next 24 hours, so I can get them to distribution services.

Dark Forest PDF Has Been Distributed!
Yesterday you should have received an email from Backerkit with your digital download, the PDF of the Dark Forest beta. I'll send an additional download link via DriveThruRPG tomorrow, since I know some people like to have their RPG files consolidated there.
The ToC, page references, and appendices have been added.
The PDF should have internal hypertext in the ToC and sidebar for navigation.
Edits will continue over the coming months until the files are ready for submission to Friesens Printing.
If anyone notices any errors, please do mention them in the "Typos" channel of the Discord group (you can message me for the group invite if you like).
Completing Backerkit Orders
Over the next 48 hours, the Backerkit orders will be gathered, and the cards will be charged. If anyone moved to a different address over the last year, now is the time to change it. :)

Book Content And Layout Are Finished!

The book content is complete! Only finishing touches remain now, and you should expect to get a download link sent to the email associated with your Kickstarter. The Beta will be sent out on January 28th once some editing, ToC, page references, and hyperlinking are added.
During the next few months, the book will undergo professional editing, and if history repeats itself, a good amount of crowdsourced editing as well from especially helpful backers. :)
After those edits, the book will be ready for printing, which I hope to have completed this Spring.
I'm excited to get everyone a finished product, and hope everyone had a great holiday!
